Continent Jigsaw Activity

Students in room 206 took part in a fun and exciting way to learn about each continent in the world. Students were assigned into continent cooperative groupings. In each group, each team member was assigned one topic to research within that continent. For example- mountains and rivers in Australia. During the research, students would record 3 of the most important facts they learned about their "expert" topic. Students in each group would come together and "share out" to the team what they had learned. The team members then recorded 2 facts per topic. In the end of the activity students learned all topics about each continent through research and a cooperative learning experience. We had so much fun learning about the world and working collaboratively!
