Our new positive behavior incentive program

Hi all- room 206 is very excited to introduce our new ticket incentive program for positive and expected behaviors.  We are working on making good choices, receiving positive reinforcement and learning about money.  Each day students can earn 4 different types of tickets. A blue ticket is worth a penny, a yellow ticket is work a nickel, a green ticket is worth a dime, and an orange ticket is worth a quarter. Each day students may or may not receive tickets for making great choices and being caught in a positive academic and/or behavior act throughout the school day. At the end of the week students will exchange their tickets for coins and then count their money. They can choose to save their money, or to spend some of their money to buy something in our store.  After they exchange their tickets for money, their tickets are added to a jar that I pick from once a week, like a raffle.  Students put their earnings into their coin purses, like a wallet, purse, or savings account.  We are learning how to add, subtract, and exchange money. We are also learning how to save and make change. Together we brainstormed what students could do to earn each different coin/ticket. Everyone is trying to get the orange tickets. Room 206 is very excited...
